Fox News has reportedly sent Tucker Carlson a cease and desist letter in an attempt to end his Tucker on Twitter video series. 1210 WPHT host Nick Kayal is arguing that the letter is only going to make a bad situation worse.
During Kayal and Company Tuesday, the Philadelphia host shared his belief that Fox News is talking out of both sides of its mouth in the matter.
“If Tucker Carlson was so expendable, and Tucker Carlson is not a threat to Fox, and you said, ‘You know what? We want you out. You’re done. Enough. You’re gone’. Well, if you have no use for the guy, people already hate you for getting rid of their favorite personality,” argued Kayal, “you’re only making it worse by continuing to play hardball with Tucker Carlson.
“Why are you doing that? Because he can get 110 million views — at least in theory — on a 10-minute video. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t say ‘You’re expendable and we’re getting rid of you. We don’t value you’ and also ‘That monologue was great. That was better than anything we have on our channel right now. You’re a threat to us’.”
He called the situation “petty”, while co-host Dawn Stenslund argued that the problem rests between lawyers for both Carlson and Fox News, and not between the former host and the cable channel.
