Stephen A. Smith recently turned 56 years old. However, that doesn’t mean he’s going to be stepping away from his prominent roles with ESPN anytime soon.
While responding to questions from listeners of his The Stephen A. Smith Show podcast, the longtime ESPN personality claimed he still has a long career ahead of him.
“You know you’ll miss me, right? You’ll miss me when I’m gone. Trust me,” said Smith. “I don’t plan on retiring for about the next 15-20 years. I think I’m gonna retire at the age 75 or so. I like working. I really, really do.”
Stephen A. Smith did reveal that while he enjoys working, there are aspects of his career that he has grown to dislike.
“I just don’t like being restricted while I’m working. I love owning my own business, I love being my own boss, I love creating content, I love acting now a little bit more. And I got other aspirations, but I’d say safe bet, the next 15 to 20 years. I won’t retire before I’m 70, but I probably won’t want to work past the age of 75.”
Smith’s acting credits include a recurring role on General Hospital and has also appeared in a pair of movies in recent years, Rumble and Creed III.
