Edison Research has released its rankings of the top performing podcasts during the 3rd quarter. Familiar names like Joe Rogan, Dan Bongino, Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro, Dave Ramsey, and Megyn Kelly are on it.
The Joe Rogan Experience finished the quarter as the top podcast in the nation during July, August, and September. The Daily, from The New York Times, was the third overall finisher, while Dateline NBC was also a top 10 show as it finished seventh.
The Dan Bongino Show was the top finishing news/talk radio-adjacent podcast. It was 17th overall. The Tucker Carlson Show earned 20th while The Ben Shapiro Show was close behind in 22nd.
The Ramsey Show, hosted by Dave Ramsey, was 30th on the list. It was joined in the top 50 by The Megyn Kelly Show, which took the final spot on the list.
Shows from NPR, like Up First and Planet Money, were also inlcuded in the top 50. They finished 25th and 26th, respecitvely.
The list ranks podcasts based on total audience reach from Edison Podcast Metrics. The podcast ranker takes data collected during the quarter from 5,000 weekly podcast consumers age 13 and older.
