WWE, a division of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO), and Fanatics have announced the debut of a new podcast, “What’s Your Story?”, hosted by WWE icon Stephanie McMahon. The show will launch Thursday, April 17, with new episodes released every other week. The premiere episode features UFC President and CEO Dana White.
On the show, McMahon is joined by her co-host and best friend, Elyse, as they interview influential figures from the worlds of sports, business and entertainment. The podcast aims to uncover guests’ personal stories of struggle, perseverance and triumph. In addition, McMahon will share never-before-heard details from her own life, including her career, personal journey and upbringing in the WWE.
“‘Stephanie’s Places’ on ESPN+ inspired me to help tell the stories that shape who we are as people,” McMahon said. “This podcast is the perfect medium to do just that, in a very informal environment, where we can all just be ourselves.”
Episodes will be available across all major audio platforms, as well as on WWE’s official YouTube channel, which currently boasts more than 108 million subscribers.
The new podcast is part of WWE’s growing slate of audio content produced in partnership with Fanatics. In March, the two companies announced a broader collaboration that includes podcast production and distribution. This builds on their existing relationship across global e-commerce, licensed merchandise, memorabilia and more.
Yesterday the WWE in partnership with Fanatics announced the launch of the podcast “What Do You Wanna Talk About,” a new show hosted by Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The podcast, sponsored by Wheatley American Vodka, will debut later this month with new episodes airing biweekly. The company also announced “The Raw Recap Show”, hosted by Megan Morant and Sam Roberts which debuted with the WWE’s debut on Netflix earlier this year.
The WWE and Netflix agreed to a monumental 10-year, $5 billion deal last year that would move RAW off of linear television for the first time in its history to stream exclusively on the digital platform. As part of its new rights deals, SmackDown would move to USA Network, while NXT would move to The CW.
