CNN senior White House correspondent Kayla Tausche has revealed she is exiting the network two years after joining from CNBC.
According to an internal memo obtained by Oliver Darcy’s Status News, Tausche informed colleagues that she was departing CNN.
“I’m off to chase the next big story,” she shared with co-workers.
Kayla Tausche joined CNN from CNBC, where she anchored the network’s election night coverage in 2020. She was originally hired in 2011 and worked as the co-host of Squawk Alley from 2014 to 2017 before taking the role as the senior White House correspondent covering the former Biden administration and the first term of President Donald Trump.
During the Trump administration, Tausche procured interviews with Vice President Mike Pence, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), among others.
Tausche’s exit comes after CNN named Kaitlan Collins as the network’s chief White House Correspondent at the beginning of the new presidential administration earlier this year. She had previously worked in that role for nearly two years before taking a primetime hosting role with the network.
Tausche did not reveal where her next home would be in her memo to co-workers.
