Connoisseur Media is making some changes to its executive structure after acquiring more than 200 stations from Alpha Media last month, including new roles for Kristin Okesson and David Bevins.
Connoisseur Chief Operating Officer David Bevins has overseen the company’s stations on Long Island for the past five years. Now, he’ll shift his focus to corporate responsibilities and will help manage the transition as the company begins operations of the previous Alpha Media stations.
Okesson — who currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Market Manager of Connoisseur Connecticut — will now also add oversight to the company’s Long Island cluster.
“These leadership changes reflect our confidence in our team and our vision for Connoisseur’s future,” said Connoisseur Media CEO Jeff Warshaw. “Kristin and David exemplify the kind of forward-thinking, community-driven leadership that defines our brand. As we grow, we are excited to have their expertise guiding both our legacy markets and new additions.”
These changes for the two executives will begin on Monday, June 9th.
Previously, Connoisseur Media owned 11 stations. With its purchase of Alpha Media, that number will grow to 218. Alpha Media will assume the Connoisseur Media name. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2025, pending approval from the Federal Communications Commission. Until the deal is officially enacted, Connoisseur and Alpha have entered into a Local Marketing Agreement for the Warshaw-led entity to assume operations of Alpha Media stations.
