PBS NewsHour has announced the addition of Liz Landers to serve as its new White House correspondent.
Landers joins the public TV outlet after previously working at Scripps News since 2024. She covered the national security beat for Scripps during her tenure.
Prior to her tenure at Scripps News, Liz Landers worked as the chief political correspondent at Vice News. She also previously worked as a dual television and radio reporter for ABC News, as well as spending time as a producer and reporter at CNN.
“I am thrilled to join the team of dedicated and highly respected journalists at PBS NewsHour,” Landers said in a statement. “At this critical time in our nation’s history, I look forward to covering the White House and this administration for public broadcasting’s iconic nightly news program.”
“I am delighted to soon welcome Liz to the PBS NewsHour team to lead our day-to-day coverage from the White House and a wide range of issues,” added PBS News Senior Executive Producer Sara Just. “Liz’s experience in both daily news coverage and long form features are an ideal fit for our ambitious, multi-platform newsroom.”
Her first day on the job at PBS will be on Monday, September 15th.
