WWE announced that WrestleMania 43 will be staged in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027. Making it the first time the company’s marquee event will be held outside of North America. The event will be part of Riyadh Season. The announcement comes through a partnership between WWE parent company TKO Group Holdings and the Kingdom’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA), led by HE Turki Alalshikh.
“WrestleMania is already the biggest date on the wrestling calendar and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE,” Alalshikh said in a statement. “We deeply respect the legacy of WrestleMania and the global prestige it holds among wrestling fans around the world. As part of Riyadh Season in 2027, our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania unlike anything the world has ever seen.”
The move underscores Saudi Arabia’s push to bring high-profile sports and entertainment properties into the region. While simultaneously highlighting WWE’s global ambitions. Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE Chief Content Officer, praised the collaboration, noting that Alalshikh and the GEA “have made a massive impact on the world of sports and entertainment” and remain “phenomenal partners” for the company.
Since first partnering with Saudi Arabia in 2018, WWE has staged a number of high-profile shows in the Kingdom. These include Crown Jewel, Elimination Chamber, King & Queen of the Ring, Night of Champions, Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night Raw. The relationship has helped WWE expand its international reach. While offering Saudi Arabia the opportunity to showcase itself as a destination for global entertainment.
That partnership continues to expand. Riyadh will also host the 39th annual Royal Rumble in January. The event will be broadcast live on ESPN platforms in the United States and Netflix globally.
WrestleMania has become more than just a single night of matches. The event has grown into a week-long celebration featuring SmackDown, Raw, NXT, fan events, and community initiatives. Leaving a lasting imprint on host regions. WWE says the spectacle draws fans from more than 60 countries annually. Generating more than $1.5 billion in cumulative economic impact for host cities over the last decade.
The news follows a record-setting WrestleMania 41 this past April in Las Vegas. Which WWE called the most successful and highest-grossing event in company history.
