The audience continued to grow after the final bell. When factoring in delayed viewing, the fight amassed 41.4 million viewers worldwide, cementing its status as the most-watched men’s championship boxing event of the century. In the United States alone, the matchup averaged 20.3 million live viewers and peaked with more than 24 million concurrent streams.

The streaming numbers represented a breakthrough moment for Netflix, which carried the fight in 91 countries. It ranked No. 1 in 30 markets, including the U.S., Mexico, Canada, and the U.K. Social media engagement matched the broadcast success, generating nearly one billion impressions across Netflix’s global accounts. On X, the fight dominated conversations, with “Canelo” and “Crawford” becoming the top two trends in Mexico and 21 of the top 30 trends in the U.S.

Joe Hand Promotions, which specializes in distributing live sports to bars and restaurants, estimated an additional 500,000 fans watched the fight out-of-home at more than 2,700 venues across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.

Inside Allegiant Stadium, the spectacle lived up to its billing. A record-setting crowd of 70,482 filled the venue, producing a live gate of more than $47 million — the largest in the stadium’s history.

The guest list reflected the cultural weight of the event. Celebrities from across entertainment and sports, including Mike Tyson, Stephen A. Smith, Charlize Theron, Dave Chappelle, Magic Johnson, Sofia Vergara, were among those in attendance.

For Netflix, the success of Crawford-Canelo validates its push into live sports programming. The streaming giant has gradually tested the waters with events ranging from golf to pro wrestling, but this fight marked its biggest breakthrough.
