ESPN Adds Josh Oshinsky to Original Content Team

ESPN is strengthening its push into original storytelling with a key leadership addition. Josh Oshinsky has joined ESPN as Senior Director of Original Content Development, the company announced. In the role, Oshinsky will guide creative direction across several of ESPN’s most recognizable storytelling platforms.

He will oversee development for the 30 for 30 brand, ESPN Films, podcasts and scripted projects. Additionally, Oshinsky will help shape the company’s global content slate while working closely with talent and production partners.

The move comes as ESPN continues to invest in premium, multi-platform storytelling amid a rapidly shifting media landscape. Long-form content remains a priority as the company looks to expand its reach across streaming, audio and digital channels.

Oshinsky brings more than two decades of experience in content development. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for launching projects that connect across platforms and audiences.

Before joining ESPN, Oshinsky served as Head of Global Content at PepsiCo. He also held leadership roles at Sports Illustrated and Business Insider, where he focused on programming strategy and creative development.

His work has earned significant industry recognition. Oshinsky has won 14 Emmy Awards and collected multiple Webby, Telly and Anthem honors during his career.

Oshinsky also has prior ties to ESPN’s storytelling efforts. He previously produced and edited the acclaimed “Four Days in October,” part of the network’s 30 for 30 series.

With Oshinsky now in place, ESPN adds an experienced creative executive to help guide its next wave of original content.
