Apparently looking for continuity, SiriusXM suits have signed Adam (Nabob) Schein to a new four-year deal.
The move means “Mad Dog Radio” midday/afternoon-drive lineup, Schein-Stephen A. Smith- Chris (Mad Dog) Russo, will remain intact for quite awhile.
Radio moles said Smith, who once worked for ESPN 98.7, is particularly happy about the trio of shows.
“He said he has not worked anywhere in radio where he had such a strong lead-in (show) to his (program) and was followed by another powerhouse,” the mole said.
Interesting point. Those three shows, which are not tightly formatted/scripted, would certainly give any NYC sports radio lineup a run for its money, in terms of ratings.
