Confirming the suspicions of some (including myself), Georgia Tech announced today that former Yellow Jacket center Sean Bedford would be replacing his old teammate Roddy Jones in the radio broadcast booth this fall for football games.
Bedford arrived at Georgia Tech in 2007 as a walk-on before earning a scholarship and serving as an integral part of the Jackets’ 2009 ACC Championship team. He graduated following the 2010 season with a degree in aerospace engineering and a minor in pre-law, before returning home to Gainesville, FL to attend law school at the University of Florida. He now works at the Atlanta law firm Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP, focusing on patent and intellectual property law.
In a media capacity, Bedford has already been supporting the Georgia Tech IMG Radio Network as a co-host of the “Yellow Jacket Countdown” pregame show, as well as performing occasional sideline reporting duties during games.
