CAA has signed former college football coach Steve Spurrier for representation in all areas.
Spurrier, who resigned last week as the coach of the University of South Carolina, will be represented by a team of agents, including powerful coaching agent Jimmy Sexton and powerful broadcasting agent Nick Khan. CAA agents Walker Jones, Tom Young and Bob Philp are also on the team representing Spurrier. He was not previously represented.
Spurrier won a national championship in ’96 as coach of the University of Florida, and he also coached the Redskins and Duke University. Spurrier last Saturday appeared throughout ESPN’s “College GameDay,” but the network was quick to say that it was not an audition for a full-time position on the show.
