ESPN Plans Comprehensive World Series Coverage

ESPN will provide comprehensive, cross-platform coverage of the 111th MLB World Series – New York Mets vs. Kansas City Royals – beginning with Game 1 from Kauffman Stadium on Tuesday, October 27. (Full schedule below). Here is a guide to ESPN’s coverage of the Fall Classic:

ESPN Radio

For the 18th consecutive season, ESPN Radio will serve as the exclusive national radio home of the Fall Classic. Dan Shulman, the voice of Sunday Night Baseball, will describe the action with analyst Aaron Boone in their second year together for World Series coverage. The duo will be joined by reporter Chris Singleton. Marc Kestecher will serve as the ESPN Radiostudio host and ESPN MLB Insider Peter Pascarelli will contribute to the broadcasts as researcher. The World Series is also available on ESPN New York 98.7FM, ESPNRadio.com, the ESPN app and on TunedIn and Slacker Radio.

Baseball Tonight presented by Chevrolet

ESPN’s MLB studio show, will hit the road for on-site pre-game shows airing at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET on game days throughout the World Series. Baseball Tonight will also return for post-game coverage, generally at midnight. Analysts Jessica Mendoza, Curt Schilling and John Kruk will join host Karl Ravech and reporters Buster Olney and Tim Kurkjian for game-by-game coverage.

Chris Archer

The Tampa Bay Rays’ star pitcher will return to ESPN to provide analysis for multiple platforms during the World Series. Archer will join the Baseball Tonight pre-game team for Games 1 and 2, and if necessary, Games 5 through 7. Additionally, Archer will offer game analysis on ESPN Radio for select innings of those games. Archer recently contributed to ESPN’s game and studio coverage of the 2015 American League Wild Card Game telecast.

SportsCenter on the Road

SportsCenter on the Road will originate from the first three games of the World Series, withLindsay Czarniak hosting the 6 p.m. show from Kansas City for Games 1 and 2 on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Czarniak will be inside Kauffman Stadium with Jonathan Coachman reporting from McFadden’s Sports Saloon, an Irish pub in the Kansas City Power and Light District. As the Royals-Mets series shifts to New York for Game 3, Czarniak will host Friday night’s 6 p.m. show from Citi Field

 ESPN Digital

ESPN.com will document the Fall Classic with daily news updates, analysis, commentary, predictions and highlights. ESPN.com also has a dedicated 2015 MLB Postseason page, with schedules, game-by-game box scores and more. On-site ESPN MLB Insiders will include Jim Bowden, Jerry Crasnick, Christina Kahrl, Ian O’Connor, Adam Rubin, David Schoenfield and Jayson Stark.
