Former NFL Fullback Jon Ritchie who spent seven years in the NFL playing for the Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles, has announced plans to run for Senate in his home state of Pennsylvania. Ritchie revealed the news earlier today on his Facebook page.
Following his playing career, Ritchie has built a second career as an analyst. He’s spent the the past few years working for ESPN, NBC Sports Network, DirecTV, SiriusXM and Comcast SportsNet.
No word at this time on whether or not he will continue his media work in the future if elected. We wish him all the best in his pursuit of this new endeavor.
