CBS Sports 920 in St. Louis has acted swiftly in replacing Bob Ramsey and Jeff Vernetti, who left to return to 590 The Fan KFNS. The station which is operated by Tim McKernan and recently forged a partnership with Emmis Communications to broadcast its programming on the HD2 version of 105.7FM KPNT has announced that a new program will take over the 12p-2p timeslot starting on January 4th.
“The Writer’s Block” will feature Cardinals beat writer Derrick Goold and sports columnists Benjamin Hochman and Ben Frederickson. All three men are writers for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
In addition to the arrival of Goold, Hochman and Frederickson, the station has also announced they are bringing in Kelly Chase for a 1-hour show every Monday and Friday from 2p-3p. A replay of part of the station’s morning drive-time show will air in that same slot on the other weekdays.
