WLS in Chicago is entering its first season as the new rightsholder for the Chicago White Sox. When the 2016-2017 NBA season tips off, they’ll be Chicago’s home for Bulls basketball too. The radio station also serve as the flagship station for Notre Dame football and basketball.
With all of that play by play to present, it’s important to have someone involved who has experience in making sure everything runs according to plan. To handle the heavy lifting, the radio station has made an internal move and promoted Dave Zaslowsky to the position of Executive Sports Producer.
As part of Zaslowsky’s new position, he’ll be overseeing and directing the production of the radio station’s sports play by play and long form programming. Dave joined the radio station last summer after programming 97.9 ESPN in Hartford for iHeartMedia. Prior to that he spent time working as a Program Director for the ESPN Radio Network in Bristol, CT working under Bruce Gilbert. Coincidentally, Gilbert is now SVP of Sports for Cumulus, who own and operate WLS.
