SiriusXM Announces U.S. Open Coverage Plans

SiriusXM announced on their website that they will serve as the exclusive national radio broadcaster for the 116th U.S. Open Championship, offering listeners nationwide extensive coverage from Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania throughout U.S. Open week, including all four days of Championship play – June 16th through the 19th.

Brian Katrek will handle the play-by-play duties for the broadcast. PGA Tour pro Mark Carnevale will serve as the analyst. SiriusXM will also utilize a team of roving reporters, featuring Fred Albers, Doug Bell, Maureen Madill, John Maginnes and Dennis Paulson.

In addition to providing live coverage of the U.S Open, SiriusXM will offer daily U.S. Open coverage with exclusive shows hosted by World Golf Hall of Famers Ben Crenshaw and Hale Irwin; major-winners Mark Calcavecchia, Larry Mize and Craig Stadler; former tour pros Chris DiMarco, Mark Lye and Carl Paulson; as well as top instructors Hank Haney, David Leadbetter, Jim McLean, Larry Rinker, Dave Stockton and Golf Channel’s Michael Breed.

If that wasn’t enough, the satellite provider will also feature shows hosted by Matt Adams, Fred Albers, David Armitage, Brian Crowell, Frank Darby, John Feinstein, Greg Warmoth, Jeff Warne Taylor Zarzour and others.
