The search continues for 790 The Ticket in Miami. According to the Miami Herald, the radio station is seeking to hire a new midday show host from 1p-3p. Leroy Hoard and Brian “The Beast” London are currently part of the program.
The midday vacancy was created when former host Eric Reed left the radio business. The radio station has also undergone changes in morning and afternoon drive in recent months.
Initially the Ticket tried to hire Adam Kuperstein to work with Hoard, but he was unable to due to being assigned to co-anchor NBC 6’s new 4pm newscast. The Ticket also had interest in Will Manso, but Channel 10 wouldn’t permit him to take the job.
The Ticket has since given a deeper look to internal candidate Brendan Tobin. Former WINZ 940 host Greg Likens has also received an audition and a few out of market candidates have received phone calls, including at least one being brought in for a face to face meeting.
Fortunately the Ticket has performed well during the past few months which has allowed them to take their time in identifying the best long term fit.
