Anthony Gargano Off Until Monday At 97.5 The Fanatic

It was reported first by Crossing Broad, that 97.5 The Fanatic morning host Anthony Gargano was off the air. The popular Philadelphia sports radio personality was noticeably absent from his morning show after his update anchor Maureen Williams was let go by the radio station. Williams made the jump with Gargano from WIP in 2015, and Gargano is said to be upset by the decision.

As a result, Gargano has spent the majority of the week on the sidelines. Philly.com reports though that he’ll return to the Fanatic’s airwaves on Monday.

With Gargano out, The Fanatic has been utilizing Eytan Shander, Geoff Mosher and Joe Tordy in mornings.

This isn’t the first change to occur on Gargano’s morning show. Former on-air sidekick Jon Marks left the program in 2016 and sat out for a few months before switching sides and joining WIP where he now hosts evenings. Although Gargano’s program has made progress and delivered solid ratings, it remains behind WIP’s Angelo Cataldi.
