Former Chicago Blackhawks center and current game analyst Eddie Olczyk is now a member of the team at ESPN 1000 in Chicago. Today was his first day as a member of the Kap & Co cast in middays on ESPN 1000. Olczyk is expected to appear with David Kaplan twice a week (usually Mondays and Fridays).
Before his first broadcast, ESPN issued a press release that quotes Olczyk as saying “To work with Kap, who is a great friend and a media legend in our city, will be challenging and a lot of fun. I cannot wait to join him. I’d like to thank Jim Pastor and Adam Delevitt from ESPN Chicago and John McDonough, the Blackhawks organization and NBC Sports for allowing me this flexibility.”
Olczyk will continue to work with Comcast SportsNet Chicago and WGN-TV on Blackhawks broadcasts. He also covers hockey and horse racing for NBC Sports.
