FS1 Expands Studio Programming, Adds Wiley

Fox Sports 1 has made its long rumored changes official. Speak For Yourself gets a new time slot, a lengthening, and a new co-host. The network also announced the details of its new sports gambling project Lock It In.

Speak For Yourself will move to weekday afternoons at 3pm. The show will now run for 90 minutes. Former ESPN star Marcellus Wiley will replace Colin Cowherd as Jason Whitlock’s co-host beginning September 10.

Wiley spent 11 years at ESPN after retiring from the NFL. He most recently served as the co-host of SportsNation along side LZ Granderson and Cari Champion one television. He was also part of Afternoons With Marcellus and Travis on ESPN 710 Los Angeles. Wiley’s 10-year NFL career included stints with the Bills, Chargers, Cowboys, and Jaguars.

Lock It In will follow Speak For Yourself every weekday at 4:30 pm. The one hour show will star Fox Sports Radio morning man Clay Travis, Jimmy Kimmel Live’s “Cousin” Sal Iaconno, and oddsmaker Todd Fuhrman. The gambling-focused show will be hosted by Rachel Bonnetta.

The show has colloquially been referred to in the media as “Around the Horn for gambling”. FS1’s Executive VP of Content Charlie Dixon seemed to hint that characterization was accurate in a recent press release, saying “The thing I love most about Lock It In is just how much fun it will be to watch. All four cast members have such big personalities and what sets the show apart is their shared love of sports, humor and competitiveness.”
