Erika Wachter will replace Deb Placey as MSG+’s host for New Jersey Devils broadcasts according to a report from Andrew Marchand. Placey left her role with the network for a job with the NHL.
Wachter has spent the last two years in New York as a sports reporter on Fox 5. She is a New Jersey native, which is part of what made joining MSG+ for coverage of the Devils too tempting to pass up. Prior to joining Fox 5 Wachter worked for NESN and Connecticut Public Television. She also reported on the Red Sox and the University of Connecticut.

Bryce Salvador returns to MSG+ as Wachter’s partner for pregame, post-game, and intermission broadcasts. Steve Cangialosi and Ken Daneyko remain on the play-by-play call of the games.
