Olivia Harlan Dekker will serve as the sideline reporter for Westwood One’s Monday Night Football broadcast on October 15. Her father Kevin Harlan and Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner will be in the broadcast booth. The broadcast will be a first, as Olivia and Kevin become the first father/daughter broadcast team to work an NFL game.
Kevin said it is any father’s dream to get to work with their child. He added, “The fact that this will be at Lambeau Field where Olivia’s grandfather ran the Green Bay Packers for more than two decades, and where she used to play as a little girl and attended many games growing up, makes it even more special.”
Kenny and Marv Albert were the first parent/child duo to work an NFL game. Their work together during the 2004 and 2005 seasons also came as part of Westwood One’s Monday Night Football coverage.
Kevin Harlan calls Monday Night Football all season long on Westwood One. Olivia Harlan Dekker was previously worked the sidelines for football games on the SEC Network, the Green Bay Packers, and the Atlanta Hawks. She will also be the sideline reporter for Westwood One’s coverage of the SEC Championship Game in December.
“I know I speak for Olivia, my wife Ann, and our three other children in saying that this will be an incredibly proud moment for our family, and we offer our sincere thanks to Westwood One and the NFL,” Kevin Harlan said in a press release.
