Boomer & Gio Unveil Theme Song for MSG/WFAN Feud

The feud between Entercom and James Dolan, owner of Madison Square Garden, the New York Knicks, and the New York Rangers, took an odd turn today. WFAN morning hosts Boomer Esiason and Gregg Giannotti unveiled the scirmish’s official theme song on this morning’s edition of Boomer & Gio.

Giannotti brought his guitar in for the occasion and performed an original song called “JD Listen to Me.” The lyrics address mid day host Maggie Gray’s initial comments about Dolan, program director Mark Chernoff’s desire to see the feud end, and afternoon man Mike Francesa’s ability to book guests.

James Dolan and his staff cut Entercom off from ad buys and interview opportunities earlier this week. This stems from an incident this summer where Gray called Dolan a “vile piece of trash” as she reviewed a song called “I Should Have Known” performed by Dolan and his band, JD & the Straight Shot. The lyrics of “I Should Have Known” feature Dolan bemoaning his friend Harvey Weinstein’s sexual misconduct and Dolan doing nothing about it.
