Russell Wolff Named EVP & GM of ESPN+

Russell Wolff has been named the first Executive Vice President and General Manager of ESPN+. He will report to Disney’s Streaming Services President Michael Paul. In addition to overseeing the operation of ESPN+, Wolff will also oversee the marketing of the over-the-top service and the series created for it.

Wolff previously served as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of ESPN International, where he helped oversee the company’s digital expansion across the world. He established a dozen localized versions of ESPN around the globe and helped oversee the development of mobile and streaming platforms in international markets.

When he first joined ESPN International in 1997, Russell Wolff oversaw the company’s growth in the Pacific Rim. He took a break from the company and then returned in 2000 as Senior Vice President to oversee programming and marketing  in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
