KNBR’s Lee Hammer is adding programming duties for two other Cumulus San Francisco stations to his plate. Hammer, who currently serves as the cluster’s operations manager and the VP of play-by-play for KNBR, will now be the program director of News Talk stations KGO and KSFO.
This won’t be Hammer’s first foray into News Talk. He served as interim PD for the same two stations in 2015.
“Lee Hammer did an excellent job while handling the programming for KGO and KSFO,” VP/market manager Doug Harvill said. “It’s an easy choice to hand Lee the keys to these two legendary radio stations.”
Previous KGO and KSFO program director Jack Swanson will move to a consulting role. He will still offer programming ideas for the stations, but will not be a part of day-to-day operations.
