Josh Lewin has tweeted that he will not follow the Mets to WCBS for the 2019 season. He has been the Mets’ play-by-play voice for the last six years, but says he has accepted a new opportunity that will take him away from New York.
Hey guys, I understand there’s a report out there about my leaving the Mets. Can’t tell you details yet because my contract isn’t signed yet, but i will indeed announce an exciting new opportunity for me and my family soon. It’s all good, I promise. Thanks much

Bob Raismann of the New York Daily News reports that it was WFAN program director Mark Chernoff that made the decision to move on from Lewin.
MLB sources said WFAN boss Mark Chernoff, with approval from the Mets, wanted to make the change. A replacement has yet to be found.
There is no consensus on who a favorite would be to replace Lewin. While Raismann says Mets pregame and postgame show host Wayne Randazzo is not in the mix for the play-by-play job, the New York Post cites sources calling Randazzo “a leading candidate.”
