WEEI, along with NESN, will kick off their 18th annual Jimmy Fund Radio Telethon this Tuesday. To help the two Boston sports media brands in their fight against cancer, a number of high profile friends have agreed to drop by.
In addition to receiving visits from a number of patients, nurses, and doctors, WEEI will be joined by Tom Brady, Tuuka Rask, Adam Schefter, Robert and Jonathan Kraft, Sam Kennedy, and Governor Charlie Barker on The Greg Hill Morning Show along with a few others.
The midday show with Dale Arnold and Rich Keefe will welcome David Price, JD Martinez, Dave Dombrowski, Matt Grzyek, Terry Francona, Brock Holt and a few other recognizable names.
In afternoon drive, Mookie Betts, Chris Sale, and Celtics Owner Wyc Grousbeck will join OMF in studio. Additional guests will include Chris Berman and his daughter Meredith, Boston sports broadcaster Gary Tanguay who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, Brad Stevens, Alex Cora, Bill Belichick, Butch Cassidy, Tedy Bruschi, Gabe Kapler and more.
Wrapping things up at night will be Mike Mutnansky who will spend part of his first evening with Joe Castiglione and Dave O’Brien. Castiglione, Chris Berman and Lisa Scherber are scheduled to visit with Mut on the second night.
One additional item of note, during Tuesday night’s Red Sox game, Fenway Park will hold a moment of silence in which all fans will write in a loved one’s name in WEEI’s Jimmy Fund Radio Telethon cards and hold them up for all to see.
