As the start of the 2020 NFL season nears, the Baltimore Ravens announced changes to their radio broadcast, which is heard locally on their flagship stations 98 Rock and WBAL NewRadio 1090.
Wednesday afternoon, the team said two former players, tight end Dennis Pitta and running back Obafemi “Femi” Ayanbadejo will be featured on the broadcast alongside longtime play-by-play voice Gerry Sandusky this season.
Although both Pitta and Ayanbadejo played on the offensive side of the ball for the Ravens, their NFL careers didn’t intersect, making 2020 their first season as teammates. For Pitta, it marks a return to the booth having contributed as a Ravens radio analyst during the 2018 season. In 2019, Jarret Johnson was the Ravens lead radio analyst.
It will be the third straight year of changes for the Ravens radio team, but Sandusky continues to be the constant, returning for his 14thseason as the team’s play-by-play voice.
