Atlanta has a new option for news/talk radio. Dickey Broadcasting flipped its sports format broadcast on WFOM AM/FM and launched XTRA 106.3FM – Atlanta’s Most Conservative News & Talk Station.
The station will feature some of the staple programs in Conservative talk including The Glenn Beck Show, The Rush Limbaugh, and Coast to Coast AM with George Noory.
“We are excited to announce the return of Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and FOX News, among many other great names, to the Atlanta market,” said Dickey Broadcasting president David Dickey. These voices have entertained and informed generations of Atlantans and will now continue to do so on ‘XTRA 106.3FM’ and streaming on the XTRA app.”
The station also launched a new website and social media accounts Monday. The site welcomes the Rush Limbaugh show to Atlanta. The late radio icon passed away in February following a short battle with stage 4 lung cancer.
Limbaugh’s syndicator, Premiere Radio Networks, said it plans to continue airing a series of guest hosts that play archival audio footage of the late personality.
“Atlantans deserve great options for their news and information,” said Dickey. “We are proud that we can deliver this popular content to millions of listeners who feel they’ve been disenfranchised by recent programming shifts.”
