An Emmy Award-winning journalist with more than ten years of experience is heading to work for the city of Tampa, Florida.
Former morning show reporter for ABC Action News, Lauren Rozyla, will become the new media relations manager in an announcement on her Instagram account.
Rozyla spent the previous six years covering traffic safety and education topics. Patch.com provides further details about what the former ABC News reporter will be doing as Tampa’s new media relations manager.
Her responsibilities include developing a local media strategy. Furthermore, she’ll be working with area news media, organizing press briefings, and supporting the Marketing & Communications Department’s overall goals.
Along with her new responsibilities, Rozyla is tasked with telling the city’s story, sharing critical updates on city projects, initiatives, and services, and keeping residents informed.
Rozyla joins the city’s marketing and communications team. She will work with another former media member in communications director, Adam Smith, who was a political editor for the Tampa Bay Times.
