Mark Levin: I’m Doing Westwood One Show From Wheelchair After Injury Because ‘I Take This Job Very Seriously’

"I don't do that because I want a pat on the back. I'm no hero."

Westwood One radio host Mark Levin revealed earlier this week that he would be away from his show for a short time due to an injury he sustained after a fall last weekend. He wasn’t gone long and his commitment to the program is why he’s hosting it in an uncomfortable situation.

During his first show since tearing the muscles in his quad on his right leg, Levin shared that he’s doing the show from a wheelchair with his leg propped up, and avoiding the painkillers doctors have prescribed him, so he can do his program.

“The pain persists. And I sit here literally in a wheelchair with my leg up,” Levin revealed. “I don’t do that because I want a pat on the back. I’m no hero. In fact, I’m furious with myself.

“But just so you know, I’m not out on the beach on a vacation, just taking it easy. I take this job very seriously, my responsibility very seriously. I know there’s millions of you out there, and we have a country to save … Please know that I want to be here.”

Mark Levin added that he’s scheduled to have surgery to repair his quad injury next Tuesday, requiring him to miss the show that day. He has hosted the first two hours of his program, with a guest host filling in on the final hour of the show since he returned from the mishap.
