With writers and actors on strike in Hollywood, ABC is filling the holes in its fall schedule with more football. The network announced on Monday that ten more simulcasts of Monday Night Football have been added to the schedule.

A source tells John Ourand of Sports Business Journal that this is a direct reaction to the strikes. It is described as “a one-year move.”
The Monday Night Football schedule is now something of a hodgepodge for the Walt Disney Company. Fifteen games will get the simulcast treatment across ESPN and ABC. Four games will be exclusive to ABC, three will be exclusive to ESPN, and one will be exclusive to ESPN+.
Disney will also carry two playoff games this season. Both will be simulcast on ABC and ESPN.
