“Dear friends, family and fans, I am happy and nervously excited to announce that after almost a decade of home runs, touchdowns and slam dunks, ESPN Wisconsin and I are moving forward taking separate paths,” Nelles posted on Facebook.

“Thank you to everyone at ESPN Wisconsin and Good Karma Brands for the fantastic times I spent there. And thank you to everyone who e-mailed in, called, tweeted and facebooked. Your interaction is what makes sports radio special.

“Stay tuned for more on my next chapter. Working with the amazing friends, mentors and connections that I’ve developed over the years, I’m excited to find the next place for Thunder to roll. Thanks to everyone, Mitch “Thunder” Nelles.”
