590 The Fan in Toronto has hired former 102.1 The Edge morning host Dean Blundell for mornings 5:30a-9:30a, starting March 2nd.
Blundell, whose controversial reign at The Edge ended in suspension and then firing one year ago after an incident involving discussion of a sexual assault trial for which Blundell’s producer Derek Welsman served as jury foreman, will be joined by incumbent morning co-host Andrew Walker.
Walker’s present partner, Greg Brady will move to 1-4p starting March 30th, as Tim Micallef and Sid Seixiero move to television as hosts of a new SportsNet afternoon show to launch July 1st 5-7p.
