Nashville Sports Talk Changes

Former Tennessee Titans general manager Floyd Reese has joined Sports Night, the afternoon drive-time talk show on ESPN 102.5 (The Game) and 94.9 (Game 2).

The longtime NFL executive steps in with George Plaster and Willy Daunic on the long-running program that has survived numerous station changes during its run, which now covers more than two decades.

Reese replaces Darren McFarland, who will launch a new show with former Titans wide receiver Derrick Mason, which will air from noon-3 p.m. on 102.5. The creation of that show is part of a shakeup that affects programs throughout the day on both 102.5 and 94.9.

The Cromwell Group announced the changes, which go into effect Monday on 102.5 and April 20 on 94.9, on Thursday.

The new lineups:

• 102.5: Mike & Mike 5-9 a.m.; Colin Cowherd 9 a.m.-noon; Darren McFarland and Derrick Mason noon-3 p.m.; Sports Night 3-6 p.m.

• 94.9: Tom Callahan and Jared Stillman 6-9 a.m.; Austin Stanley and Zach Bingham 9 a.m.-noon; Scott Van Pelt and Ryan Russillo noon-3 p.m.; Sports Night 3-6 p.m.; Paul Finebaum 6-10 p.m.

“The new shows integrated with great programming from ESPN that includes ‘Mike and Mike,’ Colin Cowherd and Scott Van Pelt allows us to offer Nashville sports fans the best of both local sports, as well as the big major stories across the country covered by ESPN,” Jana Hampton, Cromwell Radio market manager, said in a release.
