97.1 The Fan Re-Signs Three Key Personalities

97.1 The Fan in Columbus has been busy handing out contract extensions today. The radio station has come to terms on new agreements with three of their key on-air talents.

The station has secured a multi-year extension with Bobby Carpenter (Former Ohio State Buckeye, Dallas Cowboy, Detroit Lion linebacker) to continue as co-host of the midday show “Carpenter and Rothman.” He’s been a member of the Fan for almost 5 years.

Secondly, the station has re-inked Jonathan “T-Bone” Smith to a 3 year deal to remain co-hosting afternoons with Mike Ricordati. Jonathan has been with the station since 2013.

Last but not least, former Buckeye and Arizona Cardinal running back Chris “Beanie” Wells has signed an extension to continue co-hosting “The Buckeye Show” with Tim Hall early evenings on the radio station. Beanie has been at The Fan for a little over a year since retiring from the NFL.
