The Fan 590 Drops Brady and Sammut

Rogers Media said they planned to eliminate 200 jobs this quarter, and today those layoffs made their way to the Fan 590.

The Toronto sports station parted ways with on-air personalities Greg Brady and Jeff Sammut. Brady was co-hosting the 1p-4p show with Andrew Walker. Sammut had been with the radio station for 17 years, most of it behind the scenes, and also served as a utility host.

There’s been no confirmation yet on what will be offered during the 1p-4p time slot but early reports state that the Fan will air a new program called Sportsnet Today. Whether or not Walker is part of that show remains to be seen. He is still employed by the radio station.
