Jason Goff Tackles The Score Combine

Last week I wrote about the dead zone of February and how important it is to be creative and try new things during one of the slowest periods of the year when audiences tune in to the sports talk format less. Well, 670 The Score in Chicago deserves a tip of the cap because what they did today was absolutely brilliant.

Matt Spiegel and Jason Goff who host the midday program on the radio station, decided to play off of the NFL Scouting Combine by creating their very own “Score Combine”.

Rather than spending segments discussing how numerous prospects handled combine drills in front of NFL evaluators, the duo created their own combine inside the hallways of 670 The Score. Listeners were brought along for the ride over the airwaves, and video was captured for the radio station’s website.

Spiegel served as master of ceremonies while Goff endured the physical challenges. Showcasing his skills, Jason backed up his claim that he could run the 40-yard dash in under 6.0 seconds, by clocking in at 5.23 seconds. He also recorded a 27-inch vertical leap and did 15 bench press reps of 125 pounds.
