SiriusXM has a knack for creating some very interesting town hall shows, and their latest one with Stephen A. Smith was fascinating. Hosted by Karen Hunter, the program aired today at 12pm ET on the Urban View channel, but for those who missed it, it will run again this Sunday at 8pm ET on SiriusXMInsight (channel 121).
The conversation between Hunter and Smith covered multiple subjects and included some admissions from Smith that were very personal and touching. If you haven’t heard it, I highly recommend listening to it. Here are a few of the key clips below.
On having reading trouble and it creating distance with his father:
On the possibility of venturing into political talk in the future:
On the loss of his brother, and how it’s changed his life:
On needing to provide tough love and criticism regardless of one’s ethnicity:
Smith also announced that he’ll be making a future appearance on General Hospital and he shared his opinions on racism, his domestic abuse comments, why Serena Williams wouldn’t get the same treatment as Maria Sharapova and more. To hear some of the other clips, visit Sirius XM’s Sound Cloud page.
