101 ESPN Hires Brandon Kiley As Producer

When 101 ESPN in St. Louis needed a new producer to work on Kevin Wheeler’s show, they notified Barrett Sports Media. We then put the word out to help the radio station attract candidates, and soon thereafter they began receiving interest from a number of qualified people.

That process led them to Brandon Kiley, who had been producing and co-hosting “The Big Show” with Matt Michaels weekday afternoons on KTGR in Columbia, Missouri. Kiley learned of the opportunity by following BSM on Twitter.

Kiley, started his radio career by interning for Sports Radio 610 KILT in Houston in 2012. He used that experience to gain employment in Columbia, Missouri at KCOU, and from there he moved on to KTGR, where he began producing, providing on-air updates, and hosting. Along the way, he added some television experience too by working for KMOU-8, the NBC TV affiliate, in their digital department.

In going through the process, 101 ESPN Program Director Chris “Hoss” Neupert felt good after chatting with Brandon about his background and what he felt was important in producing a quality show. Neupert then arranged a conversation between Kiley and Wheeler, to make sure they were on the same page, and that conversation obviously went well, because Kiley is now moving two hours east to join him and the staff at 101 ESPN. He confirmed the news on Twitter.
