Mike and the Mad Dog are reuniting on Friday for a special simulcast at 4pm ET. Mike Francesa and Chris “Mad Dog” Russo will broadcast together on WFAN and SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio. The duo have been nominated for induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame. Public voting began Monday and runs through June 30.
“Obviously, it would be a great honor,” Francesa said. “You guys, all of you out there, are the reason why we have been doing this as long as we have, why we’ve had the careers that we’ve had, why we’ve had the success we have, we’re very appreciative for the support.”
Francesa and Russo spent 19 years together, before going their separate ways in 2008. They’ll also be featured in an upcoming ESPN “30 for 30” documentary which is expected to air in February.
