Cumulus’s 99.1 WNML and Raycom Media’s Fox 43 in Knoxville are set to launch a new simulcast each weeknight at 7pm called Tennessee Sports Night. The show will be hosted by a rotation of WNML hosts. It will be a co-production of both stations.
Raycom Media Knoxville vice president and general manager Bryce Caldwell has big plans for the show. “Tennessee Sports Night will be the perfect compliment to an already extensive list of high profile sports airing on Fox 43 and the eventual lead in program to the NFL’s Thursday Night Football and MLB’s World Series. And with their obvious commitment to East Tennessee Sports, WNML-FM is the ideal partner for the project.”
Cumulus Media Knoxville’s vice president and market manager Ken Salyer said the partnership will benefit both brands. “Fox 43’s dedication to increase coverage of sports stories important to East Tennesseans partnered with our own vision is a perfect fit. We’re excited to get it started!”
