Sports Radio 1310AM and 96.7 FM The Ticket in Dallas is adding a music show to their Sunday evening programming. “The Local Ticket,” featuring local artists and hosted by former crosstown iHeartMedia Alternative KDGE (The Edge) host Mark Schectman, will air Sunday nights at 8pm (CT) starting on March 22nd.
PD Jeff Catlin said, “This idea is classic Ticket. It started as a grass roots effort by our listeners and music fans in the Metroplex. Once I heard from them, it was a no-brainer. We’ve always been known as the station that talks sports ‘and all that implies’. Music and local music is a passion of mine, and of many of the other on air staff here. The Local Ticket is a great addition to the widely acknowledged best line up of local shows and personalities on DFW radio.”
“The Ticket has become so much more than just a sports station,” said Schectman. “It’s a cultural hub for the Metroplex and an incredibly important part of the local music scene. I’m thrilled to get the chance to join such an amazing team.”
