Greater Media announces former Detroit Piston Lindsey Hunter and Program Director Dave Shore have been named as the new afternoon drive team on Detroit Sports 105.1FM. The duo can be heard weekdays from 2-6pm beginning on Monday, March 21st.
Hunter enjoyed a 17-year NBA career as a player (1993-2010), including spending twelve seasons with the Pistons. He advanced to the playoffs 12 times, won two NBA titles, and was originally selected by Detroit with the 10th overall pick in the 1993 NBA Draft.
Shore joined the station in March of 2015 as Program Director. Prior to that, he was on air and the operations manager of ESPN LA 710 in Los Angeles, California. In addition, Shore was the pre-game host of the Los Angeles Lakers broadcasts as well as other programs.
He has hosted nationally on ESPN Radio, and served as a sideline reporter for ESPN Radio’s national college football radio coverage. He handled TV play by play for the last four years of Bob Knight’s stint at Texas Tech, and has held positions as a pre-game and sideline reporter with the Dallas Mavericks, and reporter for the Dallas Cowboys. He has also been on air in Portland, OR, Raleigh, NC, Lexington, KY and Evansville, IN.
Shore and Hunter take over the afternoon slot which was previously held by Matt Dery and Drew Sharp. That duo occupied afternoons for less than five months, taking over for Drew Lane who left the station when a new agreement couldn’t be reached.
