Leff in Laguna Wins The 23rd Annual ‘Smackoff’

The winner of Jim Rome’s 23rd annual ‘Smackoff” was Leff in Laguna. This was his second consecutive win, which earned him $5,000 and eternal bragging rights. The defending 2016 champion showed up at Rome’s studio in Irvine, CA and used some great creativity, recreating a 1996 Sports Illustrated photoshoot with other diehard Clones, many of which hadn’t been heard from in years.

Jim Rome commented, “This was the best Smack Off ever and the toughest one to decide a winner, but Leff in Laguna won it with a great call that somehow included an incredible in-studio reunion of the guys from the 1996 SI photo shoot. Truly an amazing moment in show history and one that I will remember forever.”
