Craig Carton is Returning to the Airwaves

Craig Carton is back. The former WFAN morning radio host is launching a new daily program except this time it won’t be reliant on terrestrial radio.

Starting Thursday, Carton will begin hosting “Carton and Friends” weekdays from 9a-1p  ET on the FNTSY Sports streaming network. The fantasy sports-specific digital platform is heard on NYDailyNews.com, the FNTSY Sports Radio Network app, iHeart Radio, TuneIn, and devices such as Amazon Echo and Google Home.

“’Carton and Friends’ will essentially be everything listeners came to expect from my previous show,” said Carton. “An entertaining and fun look at the day’s top sports and current events stories combined with select interviews of well-known and interesting people.”

An audio teaser of the show was posted last week on Carton’s website. He’s also been hinting at a return on Twitter.

Carton was on top of the world in mornings in the big apple, working with former Quarterback Boomer Esiason on the popular program ‘Boomer and Carton’ when he was arrested on charges of wire and securities fraud in September. He’s been accused of running a multi-million-dollar Ponzi scheme. Carton has said he’s not guilty.

There also had been speculation of Carton making the jump to Barstool Sports and being part of the company’s new radio channel on SiriusXM but that situation has yet to materialize.
