Peter King’s exit from Sports Illustrated earlier this year left a big hole to fill with the brand’s NFL coverage. It wasn’t that long ago that SI launched the King-led NFL boutique site MMQB.com. Today the company announced that another one of its leading NFL voices will be the new face of MMQB.
Albert Breer will be featured on multiple platforms baring the MMQB brand and take on the title of Lead NFL Reporter/Content Strategist for SI. First, Breer will take over SI.com’s “Monday Morning Quarterback” column that King had written during the NFL season since 1989. He will also host The MMQB TV for SI‘s streaming network SITV. Finally, Breer will be the host of a new podcast called MMQB NFL.
Breer won’t be alone on The MMQB TV. Dan Patrick Show producer and Sports Illustrated contributor Andrew Perloff will be a co-host as will WFAN middayer and former NFL linebacker Bart Scott.
Prior to joining Sports Illustrated in 2016 Breer worked in the print industry Boston and Dallas. He was also part of the NFL Network and is a regular contributor to 98.5 the Sports Hub.
