March Madness Returns To ESPN 980

Red Zebra Broadcasting has reached an agreement with Westwood One to air play-by-play coverage of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament on ESPN 980 in the nation’s capital in 2018. ESPN 980 will broadcast game action from the First Four to the Final Four and the National Championship game.

“From the debates of Selection Sunday to the Cinderellas and buzzer-beaters, the frenzied excitement of the NCAA Tournament is unmatched,” said Chris Johnson, ESPN 980 Director of Programming. “We’re thrilled to carry Westwood One’s wall-to-wall coverage of the Big Dance for all of D.C. on ESPN 980.”

The station’s comprehensive coverage of college basketball will start with several conference championships including the Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC.

ESPN 980 is the flagship radio station of the Washington Redskins and the home for University of Maryland men’s basketball.
